TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Exclusion of Organisers:
    • Any business or individual professionally contracted to assist in organising the awards is not eligible for entry.
  2. Entry Deadline:
    • The closing date for entries is midnight on 28th June 2024.
  3. Submission Requirements:
    • All entries must be submitted in English through the online entry form, and completed in full.
    • Entries meeting all terms and conditions will be acknowledged on receipt.
    • The apprentice and/or business name on the entry form will appear on an engraved award for winners.
  4. Shortlisting and Judging Process:
    • Entries will be shortlisted by an independent cross-sector panel selected by the organisers, including sponsors.
    • The shortlisting and judging process will be based entirely on the published criteria for the chosen category.
    • The organisers and award category judges reserve the right to withdraw an award for false information and to audit any information supplied by applicants.
  5. Insufficient Entries:
    • Judges may decline to make an award in any category if there are insufficient entries of a winning standard.
  6. Notification of Finalists:
    • Finalists will be notified by email, and a list will be published on the website and in local press by 31st July
  7. Award Winners:
    • One winner will be selected from the finalists in each category.
    • Winners will be announced at the awards event, and a representative will be invited to receive a trophy.
  8. Certificates and Publicity:
    • All award finalists will receive a commemorative certificate and a finalist logo to use on any PR, email signatures etc.
    • Details of the winners will be published online, in the local press, and on social media.
  9. Attendance and Filming:
    • Finalists must have at least two representatives at the awards evening.
    • Two free places at the awards evening are available for each finalist, with priority booking for extra places.
    • Finalists must agree to submit a photograph of themselves which will be used during the awards ceremony, and for pre-event publicity.
    • By entering the competition, entrants give permission for all footage of the awards evening to be broadcast by Shropshire Business Live TV
    • Winners must agree to take part in post-event publicity.
  10. Use of Awards Logo:
    • Winners are licensed to publicise their award with the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Apprenticeship Awards logo, stating the winning year.
  11. Final Decision:
    • The decision of the shortlisting panel and judges is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  12. Agreement to Terms:
    • By entering the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Apprenticeship Awards, entrants are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions, including any instructions set out with the entry form.
