It’s back . . . after the huge success of our debut event in 2024, the Shropshire Telford & Wrekin Apprenticeship Awards is returning for 2025.

With categories for both apprentices and their employers, it’s an opportunity to celebrate the brightest and best workers who are ‘earning while they are learning’.

It’s also a chance to recognise the fantastic companies which support apprenticeships.

Entries are now open, with individual apprentice of the year categories this year including

Construction & Civil Engineering
Health & Social Care
Engineering & Manufacturing
IT & Digital Industries
Creative & Media
Business Legal & Finance
Education & Early Years.

There are also awards for small, medium and large sized employers . . . and an overall star apprentice crowned for the Shropshire Council area, and an overall champion for Telford & Wrekin.

The competition is free to enter.

WHO CAN APPLY

To qualify for an individual award, candidates must be either a current apprentice, or have completed an appenticeship within the past two years, with a company based in either the Shropshire, or Telford & Wrekin local authority areas.
To qualify for a company award, businesses must have at least one operational base in either Shropshire or Telford & Wrekin, and employ current or past apprentices.

ABOUT THE ORGANISERS

The Shropshire Telford & Wrekin Apprenticeship Awards are run in association with Shropshire Business Live TV, which will be filming and broadcasting the event – and making footage available to all winners and sponsors.

The awards are totally independent, and not affiliated or associated to any business support organisations or local authorities. They are run organised by award-winning Shropshire events company Yarrington, which has years of experience running major awards in other parts of the UK.
